Vincent Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam

In the Museum of Amsterdam is where the more important collection of the brilliant Vincent Van Gogh is exposed. There are hundreds of oil paintings, watercolors... Exhibited next to personal objects, letters to his brother Theo, and also works of their friends painters and other artists of the time.

How to get there?: The museum is in the street Paulus Potterstraat 7, in Museumplein between the buildings of the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum, is acceded with street cars 2, 3, 5 and 12, lowering in the shutdown Go Baerlestraat. Also the street cars 16 and 24 with shutdown in Museumplein

Schedules: This Museum open his doors to the public every day from 10,00 am to 18,00 pm., Fridays remains open until 22,00 hours. It closes the 1st of January.

Recommendations: The museum has free wardrobes where everybody can leave their jackets, coats, bags and others. It is prohibited to take photos or videos, to smoke or to touch the art works. Take regular rests, in the ground floor the museum has a cafeteria with a view to the park, makes the visit without haste, since there is a lot to see.

Collection: The collection occupies three floors of the museum and offers works of Van Gogh classified per year and place, Holland, Paris, Arlès, Saint Rémy and the Auvers-south-Oise. Also there are works of relatives, friends and contemporaries of Van Gogh that in ine way or another influenced in their life and work.
